I for one hope she does not take this advice. If she does, it means the bad guys win. I hate it when the bad guys win. I hate depressing endings.
Do not back down.
When the liars call you a liar, don’t back down. When the

When the litigious falsely
accuse you with forged evidence as proof, don’t back down.
When the rabid herd
charges you, don’t back down.
When they rub your face in your own human mistakes
as if they themselves didn’t have any, don’t back down.
And when it seems like
everyone is against you and the only thing on your side is the facts, don’t
back down.
Stand your ground.
Stand your ground if not for you but for the noble cause
you now represent.
Do not let the bully win.
Wow! What a great post! I was starting to join in the thinking that Mary should get out just to save herself from the torture and the pain, but you're right! Even though the other girls call her crazy for staying and Ronnie just sent a tweet to somebody ADMITTING that Mary is treated horrible but in the same tweet asks why she keeps coming back for more, she really does need to stand her ground. In the end, those of us who are sane, intelligent and full of empathy know who the best role model is on that show. And she can only continue to be that way if she doesn't back down.

I would like to see her stand her ground, too. On the other hand, it would be totally understandable if she threw in the towel. I could never withstand the kind of scrutiny these women are under (although it just isn't my personality type so whether I personally could withstand it is neither here nor there). But here's another thing, why SHOULD she give up that income? The self-serving bullies certainly would not.
ReplyDeleteYes, I completely agree. I wouldn't judge her either way. You bring up a good point about the income, too. I always forget about that when Jody and now Ronnie are chiding her for sticking around. But in the same type of breath they talk about how poor she is. Um, if she is really as poor as you say, then she isn't crazy for sticking around, AT ALL! Oy, the logic from those women make me dizzy sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's funny what these people consider "poor" too. Totally out of touch with a great number of the peasants who surround their "kingdoms". I'm looking forward to tonight's episode and seeing Ioulia lay into Amanda...although, how often do they trick us into thinking something like that is going to go down and then when the day finally arrives it's a huge let-down & not at all what their little preview clip would imply. It's not just the Vancouver one that does this - all the Housewives shows do it, whether New York, OC, Atlanta, etc. This is a very good example of how editing does in fact play some sort of role in how we perceive these "reality" stars and the extent of their treachery. :-)
